In the direction of Kornelim\u00fcnster, the pace picks up again on asphalt, but sometimes narrow roads, before the first high-speed section follows on the asphalt Vennbahn cycle path to Aachen-Hahn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"https:\/\/pedaci.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/gravel-2-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-16713\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pedaci.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/gravel-2-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/pedaci.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/gravel-2-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/pedaci.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/gravel-2-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/pedaci.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/gravel-2.jpg 1032w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The route then alternates between gravel field paths and well-maintained forest paths and continues via Venwegen, Rotterdell and in the direction of Roetgen before returning to the former railroad line of the racecourse - incidentally one of the longest railroad line cycle paths in Europe. After the tunnel passage under the \"ladder to heaven\", which was started over 200 years ago in Napoleonic times, the route alternates between forest paths and asphalt again on the way to the Belgian border.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After the village of Sief, steering skills are at an advantage, while winding passages on narrow paths also demand acceleration. Shortly before the finish, there are a few more meters of elevation gain - perfect for those who have managed their strength well. The elevation gain on the 61-kilometre loop, which will be ridden once or twice depending on the category, adds up to 790 meters.
