When does 3RIDES Gravel Winterberg take place?
3RIDES Gravel Winterberg will take place from Friday, 17 July 2026 to Sunday, 19 July 2026.
How does the race weekend at 3RIDES Gravel Winterberg work?
3RIDES is introducing a new format for the Gravel Winterberg Edition in 2026: the Gravel Stage Race. The three stages will take place from Friday to Sunday. It is possible to book each individual day or take part in the entire stage race and compete for victory in the overall standings.
On the first stage, the participants cover 14 km and 300 m of altitude in a gravel time trial.
The distance of the stages on Saturday and Sunday depends on the age group of the starters.
The Stage 2 lap on Saturday covers 35 km and 850 m elevation gain. The 50w+ and 60m+ age groups ride two laps (70 km, 1,700 m elevation gain), while the elite age groups up to 49w and 59m complete three laps (105 km, 2,550 m elevation gain).
The Stage 3 lap on Sunday is 43 km long and has 1,000 m of climbing. The 50w+ and 60m+ age group will ride two laps (86 km, 2,000 m elevation gain), while the elite age group up to 49w and 59m will complete three laps (129 km, 3,000 m elevation gain). Stage 3 is also part of the UCI Gravel World Series and an official qualifying race for the Gravel World Championships and the Gravel European Championships.

The start times may change slightly for organizational reasons.
In addition to the official Stage Race, there will also be Unsupported Gravel Rides on Saturday and Sunday with distances of 100, 150 and 200 km. More information on the rides can be found here.
What are the scoring systems for the 3RIDES Gravel Winterberg races?
In the 3RIDES Gravel Stage Race Winterberg races, there are daily rankings based on the results of all starters in each stage. In addition, the overall classification is based on the addition of the riding times of the three individual stages.
Each stage can be booked individually. However, to have a chance of winning the overall classification, you must take part in all three stages. The best women and men in the overall standings will receive prize money (see below).
There will also be a separate junior classification if enough participants in the 17/18 age group have registered.

Registration for 3RIDES Gravel Winterberg takes place online via the portal of our partner Datasport Germany.
How much does it cost to participate in 3RIDES Gravel Winterberg?
We are organizing the registration for 3RIDES Gravel Winterberg for 2026 in different phases. There will be no official discounts or special offers beyond this.
Exception: Juniors (born in 2008 and 2009) pay the entry price from phase 1 until the event.

How can I qualify for the Gravel World Championships via 3RIDES Gravel Winterberg?
Stage 3 on Sunday, 19 July 2026, is part of the UCI Gravel World Series and an official qualifying race for the Gravel World Championships. The top 25% of finishers in each age group in the daily classification qualify for the Gravel World Championships.
How can I qualify for the Gravel European Championships via 3RIDES Gravel Winterberg?
Stage 3 of 3RIDES Gravel Winterberg is not only a qualifier for the Gravel World Championships in Nannup, Australia, but also a qualifying race for the European Gravel Championships on 30 August 2026 in Houffalize, Belgium.
The top 25% of finishers in each age group in the daily classification qualify for the European Gravel Championships.

Do I need a medical certificate to participate in 3RIDES Gravel Winterberg?
No, a medical certificate is not required for participation in the 3RIDES Gravel Winterberg rides and races. However, we recommend that you consult your family doctor or a sports doctor, and not just those who are taking part in a race for the first time. If you feel ill, feverish or otherwise ill on the race weekend, please clarify on your own responsibility whether it makes sense to start. Your health comes first in any case. Participants who qualify for the World Championships of the UCI Gravel World Series require a license to take part in the World Championships.


Is there a minimum age for the 3RIDES Gravel Winterberg?
Participation in the Gravel Stage Race at 3RIDES Gravel Winterberg is open to all riders born in 2009 and older. However, due to UCI regulations, only riders born in 2007 and older have the chance to qualify for the Gravel World Championships. Younger participants can compete for victory in the junior classification, but cannot qualify for the World Championships.
Participation in the Gravel Rides is possible from the age of 18.
